The last 6 months has been crazy. I had two surgery’s. My husband went to lengthy training with the Army twice. That alone was a lot. Then we were thinking of moving. I applied for a wonderful job. I got the job. It paid REALLY well. I turned it down. We are staying here in Hampton Roads. I am now a full time photographer. Something I have been working for the last 3 years. I finally took that leap and it feels great.
Sometimes life is not about the money. If I had taken that job it would have changed our lives.
- A vacation to Disney
- Paying off all our debt
- Working 60 hours a week
- Spending more $$$ on daycare
- Spending less time with my family
So why did I choose not to take this job and instead focus all of my time on photography?

I have been scared to make the transition to full time. I have been steadly working a part time job. That job was recently cut from the budget which meant I went unemployed. Hence where the new job came from. However I think life is short. My middle school-er doesn’t want to move and loose her friends. We don’t want to loose our friends we love here.
Photography allows me to support my family and be with them at the same time. It is a wonderful thing.
So in my efforts I have re branded, added new packages and we had a make over. I want nothing more then to give you and your family or your wedding a custom, once in a life time experience. I am excited for the future. I am excited that I get days I have time to do this…

Baby Drew | Valentines Mini Session! | 3 months!
You may remember Nicol and Kevin. I shot their maternity session and I also did adorable Drew’s newborn session. Well she is three months and it was time to get some simple black and white photographs along with decking out in some red and white, with lots of hearts of course!
Drew is by far the happiest baby I know. She is all smiles and I totally fell for her 3 months ago! Nicol and Kevin are great parents and drew is going to break tons of hearts!

Adorable Valentine Mini Sessions! | Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads Photography
So everyone that follows me knows I live for the mini session. I think they are wonderful and I totally love doing them! I was going to skip doing them this year since we are selling our house and moving and a whole lotta life all rolled into one.
Then it started nagging me! I so wanted to do a hugs & kisses booth. The thought stalked my brain for days! Over the last week or two I figured out how I could create the booth. I made some rough sketches and then decided…why not! Sure life is busy it always is! I just love sessions so much how could I not do one for one of the most adorable holidays ever!
